DAILY REFLECTION
The thoughts you choose to think and believe right now are creating your future. These thoughts form your experiences tomorrow, next week, and next year.
The key to happiness is realizing it’s not what happens to you that matters, it’s how you choose to respond.
Mercy is a rare word, hardly ever spoken. What are merciful actions? Not judging another; specking with kind words; thinking compassionate thoughts about others. May acts of mercy come your way.
It’s easy to get lost in endless speculation. So today, release the need to know why things happen, ask for the insight to recognize what you’re meant to learn.
In asking for miracles, we’re seeking a practical goal : a return to inner peace. We’re not asking something outside us to change, but for something inside us to change.
We’re all here for a purpose. Meditate on your mission, then use your gifts and talents to live your life on purpose. In doing so, you’ll become an unending magnet for miracles.
In this new age of enlightenment, you can learn to go within to find your own savior. Know that you are the power you’re looking for.
Remember that life is very simple. You create your experiences by your thinking and feeling patterns.
How you treat people - whether it be an old friend or a teller at the bank - is indicative of how you can expect people to treat you.
Your primary work in life is to love and forgive. Your secondary work is your worldly employment. The meaning of work, whatever its form, is that it be used to heal the world.
The words you use to describe others make sharp you-turns. Your judgements, criticisms, and compliments boomerang back to you. What you say about others, you’re also saying about yourself.
Everything in your life - every experience, every relationship - is a mirror of the mental pattern that’s going on inside of you.
Consider this amazing possibility:
You incarnated on this earth just to experience the joy of being alive. Do you even know what gives you joy? Do something about that today.
Healing requires that you admit the truth about yourself. Is there someone you hate or something you crave? Are you an addict? Recognizing your struggles is the first step towards healing.
For true happiness look within yourself. It’s difficult to be happy if you rely on outside resources.
People are constantly changing and growing. Don’t cling to a limited disconnected negative image of a person in the past. See that person now.
Practice the healing power of a compassionate mind. Open your heart to other people without judgement, and radiate the message of delight at having them in your life.
Words make a powerful impact, and they’re not easily forgotten. Wounds inflicted by words of anger or hate can last a very long time.
